What Do Volunteers Do?
Volunteers function as a support to the staff members. Here are some of the duties volunteers are responsible for: Badge entry check and clearance. Convention materials assembly. Specific panel, exhibit, and event assistance. Various inter-departmental delivery duties. Any and all tasks requiring extra hands to ensure that the convention is running smoothly.
- Volunteers must be over 18 years of age.
- They must be friendly, helpful, reliable, and ready to work to make AARC a wonderful experience for everyone.
- Volunteers must be able to work all day.

Asheville Anime Regional Convention 2018 Volunteer Terms & Conditions
As a volunteer of Asheville Anime Regional Convention (AARC) I understand I am expected to be available from 8 am until 8 pm, July 27th & 28th. I understand that I will receive one free pass to the convention for myself, and one free lunch. I understand I must provide my own transportation, room and board, and I will not be reimbursed by AARC for any of these expenses. I understand my badge must be worn at all times.I understand that I am expected to represent AARC in a manner befitting of a family-friendly event. I understand that certain actions will result in immediate ejection from the convention, and possible suspension from future events. Notable Infractions include, but are not limited to:* Complaints of any kind from other volunteers, staff, guests, or venue employees.* Hitting, or touching of any kind in an unwanted manner of ANYONE on convention floor.* Sexual Harassment complaints of ANY kind.* The use of illegal/non-prescribed drugs or alcohol.* Any irresponsible action that results in loss or damage of AARC or venue property or equipment* Any infringement of convention rules.* Any use of profanity or insulting language reported back to any volunteers or staff.* Any other actions or behaviors that are deemed unfit for convention area.In the event of damages, losses, claims or liabilities to equipment, building(s) or infrastructure(s) resulting from my own negligence, I agree to reimburse all costs sustained by AARC or its vendors, in full. I agree not to hold AARC liable for any injuries, losses, or other expenses I might sustain while traveling to or from, working at or while attending the event. In the event of an emergency, I authorize AARC to release information about me to emergency personnel.
